Bibles & languages
Paraclette ships with multiple translations and can download more on demand from Settings → Bible Translation.
- English translations include KJV, NIV, ESV, NASB, NKJV, NLT, and AMP.
- Other languages include Spanish, French, and Portuguese, with additional language packs available to download.
- Cross-references — jump to related passages from any verse.
- Interface language — set the app’s own language separately under Settings → General.
The free Plant tier includes core Bible search across KJV, NIV, and ESV. Paid tiers unlock the full translation set and on-demand language packs.
Speech recognition
Paraclette can transcribe two ways, and chooses the best one for your situation automatically.
Local Paraclette Local AI (on-device)
Runs entirely on your computer. No internet, no API key, completely private. Always available — this is the default and the free-tier engine.
Cloud Premium streaming
Included with paid tiers for the fastest, most accurate transcription. Uses Paraclette-provided keys — nothing for you to configure.
Choosing a model
In Settings → Speech Recognition, Paraclette detects your hardware and recommends a model:
- Turbo (~834 MB) — balanced, stays real-time on CPU-only machines. Default on Windows.
- Best Accuracy (~1 GB) — highest quality, recommended for Apple Silicon and Macs with 16 GB+ RAM.
The live network-status pill in the transport bar always tells you which engine is running: Cloud, Local, or Local after an automatic mid-service fallback. If the cloud connection drops, Paraclette seamlessly switches to the local engine so the service never stops.
